10. (5,4) and (7,4)
11. (2,6) and (-3, -4)
12. (-2,3) and (4,-6)

rise
___
run
(rise over run, or the change in y over the change in x)
so,
10. 4-4/7-5= 0/2, so the slope is 0, so it is undefined.
11. 6+4/2+3=10/5=2, so the slope is 2
12. 3+6/-2-4=9/-6=3/-2=1 1/2, which is the slope
be care about the negative signs and which number u use first doens't matter, as long as y's are on top, and x's are on the bottom, and if u use one of the ordered pair numbers first, u still use that 1 first for the x's
i hope that helped! good luck!

rise over run:
Y2-Y1
_____
X2-X1
10. 4-4=0 and 7-5=2 so the slope would be 0/2 so it is flat, no slope...
11. -4 - 6= -10 and -3 - 2=-5 so the slope is -10/-5, simplify that into 2/1. a line that goes up
12. -6 - 3=-9 and 4 - -2=6 so the slope is -9/6, simplify that into -3/2, a line that goes down

In a line equation, we have what's called "slope-intercept" form.
The general equation is
y=mx+b
Where y and x are variables, m is the slope, and b is the y-intercept (the point where the line crosses the y axis).
To calculate slope, you do this equation:
m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
In your first equation, you have these points:
(5,4) and (7,4)
x1 = 5, x2 = 7
y1 = 4, y2 = 4.
So do the equation.
m = (4-4)/(7-5)
m = 0/2
m = 0
You can do the others.

Use the change in slope formula:
y2 - y1; where (x2, y2) and (x1, y1)
---------
x2 - x1
10: (4 - 4)/ (7 - 5) = 0
11: (-4 - 6)/ (-3 - 2) = (-10)/(-5) = 2
12: (-6 - 3)/ (4- -2) = -9/ 6 = -3/ 2
Good luck with your homework =)

10. (4-4)/(7-5) = 0 meaning that it is just a horizontal line in a linear equation
11. (6-(-4))/(2-(-3))
12. (-6-3)/(4-(-2))
basically the general equation for these is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

(4-4)/(7-5) = 0/2 = 0
(-4-6)/(-3-2) -10/-5 = 2
(-6-3)/4-(-2)) = -9/6 = -3/2

first graph it. on a cartisian plane. xy plane. then slope=
(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
that is y sub 2 . like #10 has a slope of 0 because (4-4)/(7-5)=0
careful of the negitive signs!

slope (m) = rise / run
m = [y1 - y2] / [x1 - x2]
10. m = [4 - 4] / [5 -7]
m = 0 / -2 (I believe this would be a horizontal line)
you could try the other two, simple plug in

GENERAL FORMULA: (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
10. (4-4)/(7-5) = 0/2 = 0
11. (-4-6)/(-3-2) = -10/-5 = -2
12. (-6-3)/(4--2) = -9/6 = -3/2

You would do Y^2-Y^1/ X^2-X^1
For example: (7-5)/ (4-4)= undefined
