I enjoy them. I pay less on dividends than the working man pays on hard-earned income.

It hasn't worked out as well for my poorer friends, some of who pay nearly twice as much in taxes for half of the income compared to me.

I don't see anything bad about the Bush tax cuts. What I would have liked would have been to get the full 5% cut over 10 years rather than the 2.5% we had to settle for.

I challange any thumbs down to read the links and get an economic education.

It is a known fact that money works harder and multiplies more in the hands of the private sector. The growth power of money comes to a halt in the hands of Gov't. The Fair Tax Act will keep money in the hands of those who earned it longer.

Tax cuts have been proven throughout the 20th century as a good thing. The reverse has also been proven. That is, tax increases like those which Hillary and Barak Hussein Obama will surely impose if elected are BAD for the growth and stability of our country.

Tax cuts allow businesses and individuals more cash to spend for investments, research, and capital spending. This, of course, leads to growth of the GNP, wages, jobs, and stability.

They are just bad.....because when Clinton left office we had a surplus and were actually paying off the national debt.Whereas Bush came into office and gave every taxpayer a $300 dollar tax cut to make himself look good. Now he is trying to cut as many taxes as possible while running up the national debt with his war in Iraq!

good: tax cuts give people a reason to spend money, boosting the economy

bad: less money for military, social programs (financial aid, education, healthcare, etc.), national debt/deficit, most of the tax cuts were also given to the wealthy, not the people who need the money

***Tax cuts can also hurt the economy when people who receive them choose to save rather than spend, which has been happening more and more. Saving your money is one of the worst things for the economy.

They're good because they allow people to keep more of their own money, and stimulate the economy. They're also good just on principles of basic freedom.

They're bad because they increase the revenue to the federal government, which allows them to borrow still more money and spend like there's no tomorrow.
