I like both, but I'm inclined to say Bulger. Aside from the fact that I'm a Rams fan and that Bulger attended my dad's high school in Pittsburgh (Central Catholic - the same school that gave us Dan Marino), look at the career stats:
- Bulger is ranked fifth all-time in passer rating (behind Steve Young, Peyton Manning, Kurt Warner, and Joe Montana) with a 91.26; Palmer doesn't have the 1,500 pass attempts to qualify (he's got a 91.5 right now, which would have put him just ahead of Bulger but still behind Montana).
- Bulger has a playoff win, something Palmer doesn't have yet.
- Bulger has been surrounded by future Hall of Famers (Faulk, Bruce, Holt, Pace), while Palmer has good - not quite yet HOF caliber - talent to work with (the Johnsons, Houshmandzadeh) and all of his other teammates keep getting arrested.
