You need to get out a map and study the rivers to give yourself a visual. Then cover up the names of the rivers and keep identifying them until you can get it all. To remember all the names remember that you are looking for 12 rivers and try to remember them in alphabetical order. There is one D-Delaware, 2 Cs-colombian &Colorafo, 1H-Hudson, 2-Ms Mississippi & Missouri...and so on and so forth. You can try taking the first letter of each river and make a sentence that means something to you so you can remember them. Good Luck. If all else fails, be sick tommorrow!(just kidding)

Like the first said, find a blank map and fill it out.

Sometimes anagrams (My Very Educated Mother Just Sent Us Nine Pizzas- the planets) can be useful. Once you have your map, look over them and see what order they're in, west to east. Then make up something silly to help you remember them.

As for their flow directions- They always, always, ALWAYS flow into a bigger body of water. A little river dumps into a bigger river, that one dumps into a bigger one, etc. until it reaches the sea.

Good luck on your test, and next time, study a little every night!

Make up flash cards, put the name of the river on each card and constantly pick them up and study each one. Keep doing this up until the last moment before the test begins. Good Luck on the test I hope you pass!

Find a blank map of the US. Draw in all the things you need to remember and label them. You should be able to remember them if you do it yourself. It helps me remember things. Once you see them in front of you, you can see how they are laid out.
