It's a problem. Too much anger and amnesty. (Sorry, I meant the other posters)
But you got to admit, it's sometimes funny how extreme some go. But annoying after a while and they're pretty persistant.

1st Buzie:
That's not the point. The point is the rudeness.
It's on both sides but it must be stopped.

It is interesting how Bush supporters are so self-righteous and rude.

I laugh about it now, but when Bushco started selling us the Iraq war with lies about WMD's and insinuations of Iraq being involved in our national tragedy of 9-11, it didn't smell right to me, so I questioned it. My reward for exercising what I thought was a positive in our supposedly democratic country was to be ridiculed, called names and asked to move to France by the neocon Right.

I laugh about it because I'm a vet who rode with the Blackhorse in 1969 along the Cambodian border. I know war much better than did the vocal, ill informed and rude neocon chickenhawks. Events have proven that those of us who questioned the Bush invasion of Iraq were very correct and very reasonable to have questioned the invasion and its rationale.

I guess the neocons believe that if they just are bellicose enough and yell their lies loud enough that they will win. There are three chances of their winning. Slim, fat and none.

A good rumor and a good lie create a quick furor, but truth, though often slower to come to the forefront, lasts.

I hope that all people of good heart, good faith and who love our country will join together and fight the good fight to undo the toxic actions and policies of the Bush Administration.

Because anger is bred from having nothing intelligent to say. It's easier to be angry than to be knowledgeable.

When they look at the political situation, they liken it to a pro-sports event--teams. Them vs. Us.
So to support their "team", who is waaaaaay behind in points (facts) they react with anger and mindless name-calling. Again SO much easier than truth-seeking. "Gee. Maybe my team is wrong after all? I'd better look into what's going on FOR MYSELF".

Don't expect the above to happen to many. The change requires ORIGINAL THOUGHT and if you read closely MANY of the comments in this political section, you can almost smell the jock straps. And THIS is why our country is becoming the "dumbest" of all the industrialized countries.

It is human nature. When someone you love and support constantly causes you embarrassment and is constantly found to be corrupt or lying it is hard to swallow. When someone feels cornered or their back is to the wall they tend to lash out. It is hard for them to be in such a minority since they thought their guy had actually won some sort of mandate when he is actually dispised by most of the world.

We that support our President get defensive because He is the President and when other people insult him and disrespect him, it causes us to get upset. For eight years while in the military, I respected Clinton's Office regardless of what my personal beliefs were.
People on the other extreme don't believe in giving us the same respect and badmouth the President.

Maybe one of these days we will become civilized again but until we start figuring out that we are on the same team and start compromising, I believe the relationship will only get worse.

Well I believe that respect has to be earned and Bush has not earned any respect. As for the main question. Heck it is on both sides of the fence and quite personally I just don't read the rude parts.

Dear, there are politically bigoted people on both sides of the fence (I'm a democrat).

Many people join them thinking that responding in kind is justified.

It is.

It's also contemptible, no matter who does it.

Glad to see you won't join in. Keep speaking up.

Because after turning the other cheek so many times they are finally fed up with all the hate coming from the left. They are, "angry as hell and are not going to take it any more." Peace
