1 digit to the left of the decimal is tenths. 0.1 is one tenth. 2 digits to the left if the decimal is hundredths. 0.10 is still one tenth, but it is also 10 hundredths. To go further, 0.100 is one tenth, 10 hundredths and 100 thousandths, etc.. They're all just different ways to express the same value, as is 1/10, 10/100, 100/1000.
So, to answer your question, there are ten hundredths in one tenth.

100x = 1/10
100x = 0.1
x = 0.1/100
x = 0.001
