Anyone know this kind of information? It's for my mass media class, and I just can't find anything helpful. It's mostly about television ads. I just need when the first political ad was published and who it was for.

The First Political Ad predates the colonizers.
The Iroquois Confederecy had a flag that represented it's four nations around a fire.

While it is more than an advertisement, it is still a type of political ad for the confederecy.

Of course your evil racist, ethno-centric, whore of a teacher probably won't accept that answer!

F--- American History and it's Ship of Lies!

Otherwise, their were hundreds of "ads" before and after the revolution, and the early pilgrims were probably the first, though nothing survived.

Ben Franklin's snake in parts "Join or Die" is probably one of the Best remembered

I recall seeing some old clips of a television ad for Eisenhower. It was pretty simple - Ike answering loaded questions. I'm not sure if it was in 1952 or 1956 -- but TV would have been used on a limited basis in '52 because not all states had a television station by then.

It was not until after President Lincoln took an office. It started as a Campinge for Civil war against South. USING Slavery as an excuse to control the nation.
