i cant figure out a way to write a interduction :/

so far i have:
Propaganda is something that can hurt or help you. It can make you better or it can make you worse. For example, persuading people to go against something wrong can make society better. There is the fact, though, that Hitler used it to convince millions of people jews were the bad guys. There are many forms of propaganda, seen in commercials, billboards, and magazines. It is used to influence opinions and ‘bend’ the truth. Does society really need propaganda today?

i want to really grab the reader.
help?

Make sure you relate to current events to hammer your point home. Use the Pat Tillman dibacle to show how it is still used currently. How he was killed by friendly fire, the Department of Defense knew about it almost immediately. But they chose to use him as an American Martyr for the cause of terrorism, shot down as he's running up a hill trying to kill the evil al-queda. Or Jessica Lynch, where she was held "captive" and the captors left two days before she was "rescued" in a Hollywood style video shoot.

Propaganda, is more than something in the history books, it is a CIA mainstay and a frequently used tactic in todays USA.

Propaganda is persuastion. How often do you see propaganda? Do you even think about it as propaganda? For instance you see a billboard on your way to work. What are they trying to do? To influence you to buy their product or use their service. Does that feel like propaganda to you? Isn't advertising a type of propaganda.

Etc.

Wow, I had something like this too once. Somewhat. I think that's pretty good if you have those examples at least. For the intro, maybe you could start off with a quote or just the examples you have to write the essay.

uhhh well ur thesis could be stronger, you seem to be rambling along also and being a jewish person my self when quoting that particular peice of history i feel at a liberty to tell you that its quite offensive to be refered to as the bad guys. and dont close your paragraph with a question. also you leave the topic open go more in depth in your ideas you have a good start jsut elaborate a little bit.

Start out with "It can make you better or worse." (This will make the reader wonder what "it" is.)
