baby 17 last month! What kind of example is this setting for their kids? Hey kids, its ok to not use birth control, so that the girls can have unwanted pregnancies and the boys knock some girls up. I know they are religious, but this isnt sending a message to young adults and teenagers, TLC will have yet another Dugger show when Michelle pumps out child #25...

I have to admit the house they live in is spectacular. As I understand it, they have made really wise investments and supposedly are millionaires. If you look at their house inside they have the best of the best...

I think the family is absolutely disgusting. There is something wrong with having child after child after child like that! What is going to happen to that woman's body in just a few years? Can human bodies really cope with that much physical stress??
I agree with another poster - the parents shove the responsibility of taking care of the youngsters onto the older kids. Let them be! Let them go to a real school and meet OTHER PEOPLE and be kids!
I wish TLC would stop airing specials about this family. It's almost as if they are encouraging their behavior.

I guess I am the only fan of the show. I agree, 17 kids are a lot. However, they make it work. Jim Bob is sucessful in the real estate biz, they live righteous lives, and they have NO debt. I think for the most part, the kids will turn out okay. I don't see them running off, living on the streets, trickin, & gettin strung out on meth or crack.
I will say the whole family needs to be on "What Not to Wear." I've shopped at thrift store & you can find clothing that is up-to-date. Michele takes 80s hair to a whole new level.

For those who don't know, this family is self suffcient and do not recieve any welfare assistance. They own multiple properties and get paid stipends for their documentaries on the discovery channels.
For the sake of children benefitting from much needed, individual, daily parental interaction, I do agree that they have had too many children but who are we to judge their religious beliefs? They don't use birth control because they decided that they would welcome all of the children God gave them.
I don't think all of their children will choose to live as they have.
I would actually wager that some of them will go away to college and never return.
You do have to give them props for building that house on their own. It's awesome.

I agree with you, there is a limit to all things, including children, and they passed theres about 12 children ago, I wonder how they support all of them, I have two and at times its hard, But I guess with TLC paying them all the money they did, they'll sure enough pop out about 10 more.

They need to stop having kids. The kids are being held responsible for running the house and raising the kids as it is. The parents don't take care of their responsibilities. They created the kids and the kids are paying for it.

Yeah she could atleast get her tubes tied. The way they live is crazy since their sibling is their buddy! I was astonished watching their TLC show a few years back. The kids are totally going to rebel, I hope they learn.

I think the parents are insane and should have to pay TAX on all those kids, not get deductions.
