I think the people who support it. This gives big business an unending supply of basically what amounts to slave labor, they can pay them pittiful wages with no benefits and who are they going to tell? No one for fear that they will be deported. It also allows drug smugglers, and coyotes (trafficers in humans) to keep a brisque business. How humanitarian of them.

sky "dawg" just listen to yourself. I am racist because I expect everyone to be held to the same standard? To obey the law? What you are telling me is that it is just fine for someone who is mexican to break the law simply because they are mexican. Your argument makes no sence and has no validity.

Those who are against illegals are against someone being illegal, not who they are or where they are from. Those who support it call those who oppose it racist. They are called racist because they do not agree with them . Peace

You're right in some ways. The problem is, the farmers, who are for the most part legal citizens are in the business to make a profit. They want to get their product out on the market for as cheap as possible. The American consumer has no complaints about cheap fruits and vegetables. What we need to look at, is, are Americans as a whole willing to start paying more for their farmed goods. Not just produce, but eggs, meat, nuts, anything really. And then there's another problem. If the farmers hire legal workers only, drive up their prices, will the supermarkets still buy their produce for American farmers or will they try to purcahse overseas even more so than they do already. It's always about money. Everyone is always trying to make more for themselves and spend less for what they want. Farmers using Illegal immigrants are technically committing a crime by hiring them, paying them pennies in comparison to minimum wage, and getting away without. The reaction to this action is, millions of illegal immigrants coming every year. What would need to happen to get rid of illegal immigration, is first and foremost, fine farmers who use illegal immigrants and reward those who don't. Driving up the desire to not hire illegals. Then the problem of the illegals who are already here needs to be addressed. Many of them just want a job and a place to live. There's nothing wrong with that, everyone wants those two things among others. Why not give incentives to them to become legal citizens and go through the process. The problem is, it's an expensive process. My brother in law who was originally from France ended up spending $6000.00 to become a citizen. Do you think any of these people who want a better life for themselves and for their children have that money? 99% of the time no. In all honesty there is no 1 solution to immigration and there are racists on both sides of the cause. There are those who want all Illegals out, and there are those who think illegals have done nothing more than try to get a good life for themselves.
Realistically, reform to this problem needs to come before the racists on both sides eat each other alive.

I really don't support illegal immigration. I do however, support a path for them to legalize. I wonder how the right wingers would come up with the money in the 9 trillion deficit and the slowing economy to first, find and then deport 12 million people scattered and hiding in the US...you guys want a vigilante witch hunt and in reality illegal immigration is a civil offense...
I'm really tired of people saying I have no argument...look at the damn unemployment history. You think theres no demand for workers? How do you explain that there has been a growing number of illegal immigration yet for the last 15 years the unemployment rate has stayed at a steady 5%?
How do you explain that?
I personally, never pull the race card, only when its blatantly obvious...I always let economics and the numbers do the talking for me

Your query is without problems now not established correctly. Just rationale one would"oppose unlawful immigration or aid the removing of unlawful immigrants" does now not make one racist. Opposition to unlawful immigration does now not indicate that one is racist. While there could also be many racists in the market who additionally oppose unlawful immigration, competition to unlawful immigration in and of itself does now not make one a racist. It is foremost to realise the diversities among the 2.

Tancredo, Ron Paul, and Hunter have the most conservative voting records on immigration.

Of these three, Ron Paul has the best chance of winning the Primary election.
Paul's campaign has almost 4 times as much money to spend as Tancredo.

This is his six point plan:
Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

The NAFTA Superhighway might be another significant threat to American borders.

I always considered a person racist when they pull the race card.
Most people don't even consider race in most issues only people with a grudge think they are vitcems of a racist system.
I am not denying there is racism in the world, but anyone who's first assertion is to pull the race card doesn't have much of an arguement to begin with.

While I agree that there needs to be better border security, I am of the opinion that opposing illegal immigration is racist. The most vocal opponents of illegal immigration are of the same philosophical school of thought as Southern slave owners: that English-speaking whites are superior to everyone else. Not true - America is a great country in part because it is so culturally diverse. I, for one, think it's about time that we adopt English AND Spanish as official national languages (since, despite what these English-only morons want you to believe, Spanish is MUCH easier to learn than English). Besides, do you have any idea how hard it would be to round up and deport every illegal immigrant?

we always have and we are using this issue to blame our problems on illegals or foreigners. we always used them as a scape goat to divert our attention from the real issue and the real cause to the problem IE; racism and sexism was used for prohibition of drugs. as you mention the problem is the big business which encourages illegal immigration and gains the most out of it. they try to distract us by focusing on the effect rather than the actual cause!
