I read it online all the time.

Every once in a while if I'm flying, I'll pick up a copy and read it on the plane.

I think it is an essential hockey resource? It is perfect? No. I have a room full of hockey books, binders on guys I scouted, etc....if all that could be into one publication...great, but it can't.

It could be better by organizing itself similar to the 70s where the rosters were colour-coded, with player numbers, and the Captain was marked with a C. For a while in the 70s they also had a 'rookie of the week feature'

It's funny you bring up Hasek. I spent the weekend in Quebec City watching the worlds with Michel Dumas (Chicago's Head of Amateur scouting) and we were remarking how it will be 25 years next month since we drafted Hasek. I've been his biggest supporter, but barring a catastrophe, I don't see him between the pipes. Osgood's had 2 bad periods all season long and he has enough playoff experience I don't see him falling apart.

At one time it was THE publication to read about hockey but that was back when I was 10. My dad would get it and we would both read it cover to cover. In those days it was Bob McKenzie's dad who ran it and it was worth going out of your way to get. I haven't bought a paper or magazine in years since the advent of the internet. Why buy a cow when the milk is free?

I have my subscription. I like to read about all of the leagues, not just the NHL. As a female player I wish once in a while they had more on my game( the woman's' game) than just a small blurb at the bottom of one page.

Not what it used to be. It's become heavy on stats and light on team/player insight and stories, rendering it more of a fantasy league tool than a fan 'zine.

The magazine used to be a great source for REAL team news and inside scoops. I used to look forward to receiving my weekly fix, religiously reading every inch of copy. That's just no longer the case.

I used to have a subscription to it many years ago, but life showed up and dictated terms. I buy it once or twice a season and I think it is just fine as it is.

I just ordered a subscription last week, so I haven't read it yet.

So I'm hoping it's as good as it's suposed to be.

I absolutely LOVE it. I just wish they'd do more for AHL coverage.
