I fear ignorance. Too many people out their making non-negotiable claims based on issues they know they know nothing about. Too many people thinking emotionally, not rationally. Too many people who know they're wrong, but convince themselves to continue the lie.

Not necessarily in order....
I fear that one or both of my parents will die of a slow, progressive type of dementia like Alzheimer's disease, which is probably the most depressing way to lose a loved one.
I fear that one or more countries will use a nuclear weapon some time during my lifetime.
I fear that I will never find Mr. Right and get married, thus growing old alone without someone to love and share the rest of my life with.
I also have a great fear of tornados, but I would not equate it with the other 3 fears above. The tornado thing is more of a phobia, actually.

My fear.
The politicians in the US will destroy all the ideals of the US and completely take the rights of citizens while instituting a socialist system where there is no incentive to work due to abhorrent pay and inequities in wages (Those that work harder get paid the same as the slackers who barely show up to work.)
Both Parties are responsible for this
I have to disagree with many people here. I think fear ultimately stems from the fear of death. Every fear you have can be changed into a natural self preservation. It doesn't stem from ignorance, mostly, it is a fear that you will be physically hurt or die from your fear.

I don't fear anything, but I'm very wary of those violent Muslims always strapping bombs to their children and blowing them up in public places and flying planes into buildings and rioting over silly cartoons.

I don't fear much, and would have to agree with you except I'd like to add snakes (come close to stepping on a few this summer).
