i still get sad when the anniversary comes around. Do any of you remember what you were doing when you heard the news? I was at work, it was break time, our boss came onto the floor and said, " A plane just crashed into the twin towers"We asked for the radio to be turned up, when he saw some of us start to cry he sent us home for the day. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Democrat here.

My thanks to your friend for defending our country in this time of war.

I cried. Don't remember where I was, but my memory isn't so good about such things.

I cry each anniversary, and proudly shake the hand of every military person I meet.

If my daughter ever decides to join the military, my wife and I have decided we won't be supportive,...

...we'll be damned proud.

Keep the radio turned up. My family escaped Islam in the 1950s. We've been expecting this war for decades.

I was in the fifth grade and had no idea until i got home. I felt like somthing was wrong and i could see it in the school staff's expressions and the way the talked. I was scared that day. I cried for hours on wednessday morning. I try not tho let the fear of another attack affect me because they want us to be scared. GOD BLESS THE VICTIMS, THEIR FAMILIES, THE TROOPS AND AMERICA!

I was at work....on a military base. I remember the going from the normal day-to-day to seeing our troops go combat ready in about 1/2 an hour....it was surreal for sure.
I still look at the kids walking by and quietly thank them for securing our freedoms.

I was in 8th grade back then in the middle of english class when other teachers came into the classroom to talk to my teacher. They huddled together for a while but they wouldn't tell us anything. A loudspeaker then informed us that we were to go to mass that day (I went to Catholic school) and it was so strange but it wasn't the first time we were called to mass like that. The mass started out like any other and it wasn't until the homily that the tragedy was announced.

i sooo remember that day like it was yesterday, i woke up and turned on the news as i did every morning. the news was showing the first building on fire, i remember thinking " ooh, what movie is that from?" when all of a sudden the second plane crashed into the second building. it still took me a minute to realize that OMG! this is really happening. i frantically woke rudy up, " rudy, rudy wake up, omg my brother is there, omg" still not knowing exactly what happened, i was horrified. when the news said it was a terrorist attack i was sick to my stomach, i couldn't stop crying. sooo many people lost their lives, sooo many people lost their loved ones and for what?

my teacher was staring at the ceiling and was crying.
the class rushed to confert her.
we asked what was wrong. *fighting back tears*
she pointed at the tv.
we all silenced.
ont he tv,
we sawthe devistation.
we all started crying.

on 9/11,
i take 10 minutes of no talking to honor thoes who died in the 9/11 attacks

That was really strange, I just finished reading your question and i got goosebumps all over my body!
I do remember yes, I was just finishing eating and the TV programme was interupted with the news,
Its a shame that there are very silly little boys and girls on here making jokes out of it and saying that they are 'bored' with it all..............Obviously they are inhuman!
Good on ya hun
