I've been on birth control pills for almost a year now.. but I recently found out I had a bladder infection so the doctor prescribed me antibiotics... My period was a few days late because the antibiotics mess with the pills..I got my period 2 days after I finished my antibiotics and I had sex on the 3rd day of my period, even though it was very very light. The next day I spotted a little bit but not much at all. I know that antibiotics can cancel out the bc pills, but im wondering what are my chances of being pregnant? even if i was on my period..

Antibiotics negate the effectiveness of birth control pills. It's one thing any woman using the pill should learn off the bat. Did the doctor who prescribed the antibiotics know that you are on the pill?

You are less likely to get pregnant during your period, but that doesn't mean it's impossible.

Well, like you said, antibiotics can lessen the effectiveness of birth control. There is a chance you are pregnant. Not huge, but big enough that you should closely monitor your body and take a test in a month.

Well you are still fertile when you are on your period, so you can get pregnant. But I am not sure about the whole antibiotic vs. birth control thing. The only thing you can really do is just wait and take a pregnancy test.
