sbcalif, I disagree with many of the policies of GW but I do not hate America as much of the left does.
Ask a lib how America became so powerful and they will say, "greed".

Ask the 20% of the country with out any form of medical coverage if they feel like spoiled brats. Ask the 50% of our total population that put together own only 3% of our nations wealth. Ask those who are the constant victims of hatred, bigotry, racism, and discrimination if they feel they have been spoiled. Ask the factory worker who's job gets outsourced, the small family farmer who can't compete with the corporate farm, and the school teacher whos funding gets cut because of NCLB.

America is NOT a huge pile of evil like some would suggest, but to tell those that are being abused by the system that they are spoiled brats for complaining sounds like some pretty orwellian thought policing.

Very few of the young people of this country "hate America"

I know--I work with and teach them in a major university.

But they are not buying into the ugly intolerance of the right-wing--or the insipid "feel-good" of the far left.

And--while the self-righeous middle class is celebrating their cokie-cutter suburban houses and IRA's--these kids are looking for something real--somethingbeyond chasing each other up the corporate ladder like upwardly mobile lemmings.

They don't hate America-they hate what their parents haveturned America into. God bless them-they may yet save us from ourselves.

No. the wear and tear is already finished. as quickly as we've yet another technology that should exist devoid of technological conveniences, survives starvation, a great melancholy, is time-honored with worry and certainly paintings to triumph over it, and then rises as much as combat off an evil attempting to triumph over the international, THEN and purely then will u . s . of america grow to be a wealthy u . s . a . back. regrettably, i do no longer think of which could ever take place back. We have already got all started the superb melancholy ever and could shop falling into the black hollow. As for something, Gen X, Gen Y, and the entire idiots after are unable to something.

It sounds like republicans you're talking about. Not everybody in America has lived this greatest lifestyle you talk of.Part of the hate is because the middle people are being shoved down by the spoiled brats! Now while the poor get poorer the rich want to leave all their wealth to the brats without them having to pay estate taxes anymore!

In a way, you answered your own question. They have it too easy and take for granted the sacrifices of those before them.

They have no idea what it would be like to live in a nation they propose to want. They can spend their lives questioning the very semblance of authority, because they are not out having to work to help provide shelter or food, what many many young people in less fortunate countries, find a part of their daily lives. And you don't see those out protesting just for the sake of the act.

I also blame our educational institutions, especially our Universities...every thing about them smacks of the 60's dissidents....just irresponsible guidance if you ask me.

One day our youth will grow up, and they will head our country....and then, God help us all.

1) No more sedition laws.
2) No teaching of logic in schools anymore.
3) Influx of socialism into the Democratic Party.
4) Acceptance of the "It's cool to hate school" from some subcultures accepted as "O.K." by general public.
5) Lack of experience in the young with what's really out there.

spoiled kids raised by pseudo-wannabe rebels.....what the hell do you expect? And really, it is worse than that....I went back to my home town awhile ago and found out that 75% of all my high school class where in prison. This was a town that thought of itself as very "progressive" and they thought, I guess they wanted to 'help' everyone.....Now, I go back and find all of my friends are either in prison or addicted to meth.....Hell of generation they raised....

Why are you claiming the youth hate America?

Disagreeing with the government isn't a crime, at least it shouldn't be. That pretty much goes against all American values.

Liberals would be right.

And they don't hate America.

Please use common sense and grow up. These childish attacks on your fellow man are utterly infantile.
