Umm, sorry freebird, but you're incorrect.

The Norman descendents of William the Conqueror ruled England from 1066 thru 1154 when Stephen, the last Norman king of England died. (Stephen was the grandson of William the Conqueror through his daughter Adela).

Stephen was succeeded by his nephew Henry II, who was the founder of the Plantagenet Dynasty. Henry II was the father of Richard the Lionheart (the famous crusader), and King John ( the king who was forced to sign Magna Carta).

The Plantagenets ruled England until 1399, when Richard II, the last Plantagenet king, was deposed by Henry IV, of the Lancastrian Dynasty.
