I had the sixth book ruined for me.
I made sure to death threaten any potential
person who would have told me, because
seriously...I would have castrated or mutilated
any person who tried to give any information
to me.
I'm sorry it got ruined for you :(
I would have killed....(well, not really)

It doesn't matter how the book ends. It is the adventure that happens from the beginning all through the book that is the fun, and no one can ruin that part for you. As you get older you will discover that people love to blab that surprise ending or the twist in the middle of a good book or a good movie. You either ignore it and take what you choose to take from the experience, or you can stay home and never read or go to a movie again because someone blabbed.

I didn't let anybody have the chance to blab. I either bolted from the room if I heard the word "Harry Potter" or I stuck my fingers in my ears and and started humming. It worked. Only a tiny part was ruined for me, and that didn't really matter.

Not me! I read Deathly Hallows quickly and yelled at anyone attempting to spoil it for me. I also avoided the Internet until I finished it, as I knew it would be brimming with spoilers. I had Half-Blood Prince ruined before I could finish it, and I put it down for two years. I didn't see the point in reading a book that I already knew the ending for (boy was I wrong - that book was great).

Well, I accidentally saw a list of characters who had died, on comment left for a MCR music video on Youtube, but I quickly closed the window I saw it in.
But then my brother was talking to me, and he said, "A character dies...Their name starts with..." And he said the letter of the character who I didn't know died, and I just pretended it would be a different character until I actually read it.
The plot parts, however, weren't ruined for me. Just the deaths.

I didn't let anyone ruin it for me. My aunt finished it the day before I did, and she called me up and asked if I had finished yet. My response was to scream "Don't tell me what happens!" And if anyone started to say anything about the book, I was gone.
