Some questions get a bunch of good answers and the asker still leaves "Best Answer" up for voting, without saying a word about it.
I personally think it's a little rude, because I generally strive to offer valuable answers and I'd really like to have some feedback on them.
What do you guys think? :)

I'd like to see the asker's feedback not because I want to get the points for BA., (frequently other answers are much better than mine and I do vote for them!) but because I would really like to know what the asker really thinks.
Isn't that the reason we are all here, to communicate? When communication flows only one way, it's a little frustrating.

I know what you mean. But I had one question which ended up for voting because I failed to pick the best answer. That was the time I failed to log on to Y!A for 2 days. So I think sometimes the askers weren't aware that their time's up and they need to pick the Best Answer. Or for those who say they need urgent answers, would have already used some of the earlier answers for their needs then either forgot to pick a BA or didn't bother to go back to their question. Or sometimes it's really hard to choose among the answers. But if that's the case, the Asker should put a note to that effect.

Whenever I get a BA-Chosen by Asker I always scroll down to see if the Asker has comments for me and I almost always add a comment or to say thank you. I have mixed feelings when I get Chosen by Voters. Sometimes my answer was the only one voted upon. I feel disappointed since it wasn't chosen by the Asker and it means only one person bothered to vote. But if I see more than 2, it's quite good. But I would have wanted to know what the Asker would have thought himself. Sometimes I wonder if the Asker really thinks my answer was satisfactory or would he/she grimace when notified that the Y!A community chose me and personally thinks other answers should have been chosen?

i'm getting somewhat some like that elric oftentimes its the 1st answer somebody votes on and often times if i are available in the time of an answer of mine thats in voting i visit vote in user-friendly terms using fact it finally leads to a tiebreak for all eternity , can not see the component of somebody asking a question without choosing a ultimate answer ,yet what annoys me much extra is once you have responded a question and you do no longer even get a tu or no longer something ,it makes me think of why did i hassle , and sorry to pass on i continually verify i tu all my solutions to my questions different than the nasty ones !!

Ha ha I just asked the same thing a couple of days ago. Yeah, I hate when they're like "help PLeeeeeese read. Then, they go on some rampage about what's happening. You read this long paragraph or two because you care, and come to find out they probobly never even read it. Because if they did they surely would have voted your answer as best.

yes ha ha maybe i am nerd but whatev...i hate it when i answer a fashion question with detailed links and info that the askers needs "desperately" and they just let it go, esp when the others that answered just say things like i dunno or thanx for the 2 pts.

i just would like to know if my advice was helpful or not...it annoying when i put so much effort in an answer and recieve no feedback.

I thnk it's an oversight on the asker's part. They may be looking forward so hard they're not into bequeathing bonus points.

That's why they let it go to vote. So many great answers they can't make up their minds.
