I watched the performance to see what everyone is talking about. It did not seem that bad. Is the media out to get her? They are attacking her weight and saying her performance was disastrous. Since when do journalists push their opinion on everyone?

I didn't watch her performance, but I do think that she has made so many bad choices, that anything and everything she does is going to be open for public scrutiny. That is truly sad, because we all make stupid choices at one time or another in our lives, but we don't have to face the public humiliation, scrutiny & judgment of the media & Americans as a society. It isn't easy being a celebrity. Look at Owen Wilson. One would think he had it all, and yet he tried to commit suicide. Just because someone is famous doesn't give us the right to judge from the sidelines because of the choices that person makes. We don't live their lives nor walk in their shoes. While we would like to think that we could handle fame with a lot more class, maturity and with a better head on our shoulders than many celebrities do, fact is, we don't understand the pressures they face without having walked in their shoes.
For this reason, while I think that Britney Spears has acted in a ridiculous manner as of late, I can't even begin to imagine the emotional & psychological pain she must be going through right now. She is struggling to keep above water and the public and media is not cutting her any slack for being human - albeit a stupid human, but human just the same. While I didn't watch her performance last night, I did see her belly in photos and I will say that if anyone has a problem with how she looks, then they are stupid because for having had 2 kids, she looks pretty darned good! Good grief - I think we need to cut the girl some slack and give her a chance to redeem herself, even when she looks foolish in the process.

Everybody was like, oh my god she's so fat and flabby! Which, uh, she obviously wasn't fat, necessarily. But give her a break she's had 2 kids and her life is a bit screwed up right now. I DO, however, think that she should've worn something more practical. I'm starting to think that she's really getting sick of singing and this whole performing thing...
Journalists shouldn't even be stating their opinions, let alone shoving theirs down other peoples' throats. But then again it's just the media, like Access Hollywood and stuff that are hating on her. I wouldn't count them as respectable journalists in the first place.

I watched her performance, and not being a big britney fan, I thought she did quiet well. she may not have a tight body, However, I don't remember her really ever having a tight body.
The only downside to her performance is the lack of energy she put into her show. I worked in arenas in the past and saw her perform twice and believe that she could have added a little more spunk, or maybe have waited until the billboard awards.
I hope she doesn't let last nights performance bring her down.

I don't understand, it. It is like it is a part of regular news, today. I didn't see the performance, but what they showed of it, I didn't think it was bad. It is the young people, who will buy her C.D.'s and go to her shows, of course, they have to get the money from a parent. I for one, hope and pray that she does make a come back.

It scares me that people were saying she was fat,because she looked perfect to me !! even knowing she just had a newly broken up relationship, (was she married to him?) I don't even remember his name,,,,haha
anyways, noone says, wow she looks good for just having two baby's, getting on stage in front of millions in a teeny tiny sequenced bikini, and then gyrating her body for 3 minutes.
That wouldn't be the first thing on my list to do right after having a baby.

I didnt see it myself, but i heard people talking & it sounded good to me..I think maybe they are just jealous of her.
