To refute the idiot above; Clinton's approach led directly to the attacks of 9/11, therefore his approach did lead to the deaths of thousands.

But that is off topic. No, terrorism is not a law enforcement issue, simply because international law can not respond to the threat on a global level.

That's a meaningless criticism that's been leveled against Clinton since 9/11. The Germans just broke up a terror cell. Are you saying that they were wrong to use law enforcement techniques? What about the Brits? What about Ft Dix or JFK? All of those plots were foiled by using law enforcement techniques.

Republicans would never have gone along with the surveillance on Americans before a major attack occur ed. For that matter, neither would democrats. Many people barely tolerate this now.

With all of the new resources this administration has, they still do not have Bin Laden and the terrorists have found a new safe haven and are increasing in numbers while we're bogged down in Iraq. At least the perpetrators of the first TC bombing and those who blew up the embassies are in prison.

Clinton did a poor job. His approach, such as it was, was totally useless in preventing terror attacks.
