k so i jsut replaced my car battery, and the cd player wont work it says i need to put in the code, so i did but i typed it in wrong 3 times and thats when it locks up (01 eclipse)...so i heard that in order to get another 3 chances i need to leave the car key in the "Accessory" position, then leave the radio on
about 45-60 minutes. So will leaving the car in "Accessory" postion for 45-60 minutes make the battery die?

No that is the procedure to enter the code it will not kill the battery turn off the dome light. ACC. posistion is not the run posistion. Good luck take your time entering the code or take it by the mitsubushi dealer they will remove the raido and get the number they need call Mitsubushi and get the master unlock number to enter.

The simple answer is no. Leaving your car on "accessory" (with a new battery just installed) will not deplete your battery's charge.

you don't need to do any of that at all.....all you have to do is unhook your car battery again for like 1 hour and it will reset your cd deck...then put in the correct code..if you mess that up again then just repeat the process until you put the right code in......................
