I am a man with a wife that had the same thing happen after a laparoscopy, slight surgery, and medication. She got a period after a year or so. What happened to her was not unusual for a normal period. It was just as aggivating, irritating and inconvenient...but it was no worse than normal and she was glad to have it return. It took about another year for the cycle to get back to being predictable and that is good information for a husband. (Wink). Good luck.

This could be a reaction to the pill itself (if still on the pill). If you are just coming off the pill it can take about 3 months for the body to readjust to being without the medication. I would recommend getting in touch with your doctor as well to see what they think is going on.
