As far as I understand they can end up losing draft picks if they actually violated rules. It depends on the situation. The first thing that will happen is the league will look at the tape itself to determine what it was being used for. If they dont find it was used for spying the patriots could still be in trouble due to the fact that it is against league rules to even have the camera on the field during the game, but it would not cost them much. If they do find it was spying then the league's compitition commitee will meet and give the Com. a recommendation. He then will issue what penalty he feels is appropriate which could include forfieting a draft pick.

HELL... punish them as an example to the league... JUST LIKE GOODELL is setting with players! This is worst than what individual players have done. This blows apart the integrity of the game and NFL.

Additionally, what about all the millions in BETTING... Vegas, Online, etc? This can become PANDORA's BOX.

They should as a minimum, FORFEIT the GAME to the JETS and lose all picks on the first day of the DRAFT!

The only thing they are guilty of is making the rest of the teams in the NFL look childish on their way to 3 SUPER BOWLS BABY!!!! Bumping recievers, tuck rules, etc, is not cheating pal. Its looking for loopholes in the rules that give them an advantage. Every team does it, or would do it if they thought of it.

What can be done - perhaps fines, suspensions

What should be done - forfeit games/season, have their gonads removed, prison sentences, play all games on the road
