I think it is in our nature...but what separates some from others that do and don't are that some make a conscience effort to think before speaking...

I think it's because people believe the information available is all there is to it. Should I assume this question is complete, or should I assume you will have additional details that might be important to know before I answer? If I wait, how long should I wait?

Because they're naturally a bit lazy and it's far easier to assume than it is to actually find out the truth.

A lot of people think they know everything or they're just bored and nosey. Either way, it can be irratating when that happens.
