Oh yes I can cook and from what Dr.s say all the food poisoning my husband and children have had because of my food has made their stomachs tolerant to almost anything so I am very proud of that accomplishment ;)

Seriously though all my family even my extended family (and I have a huge extended family) used to have me cater to all their parties before I moved away from them so I am definitely doing something right :)

I was a Chef once, till a few years ago but I gave up the profession because the majority of kitchens these days are run
by managers worried about profit margins, and an obsession with the economic use of 'time'.
So when I was told over and over again, to boil water and dump
half-products in it to make soups / sauces and so on and then
'enrich' them with some 'fresh' products I called it quits.
Some of these nincompoops I wouldn't even trust to boil water let alone actually cook anything, over here people no longer appreciate food anymore, shelves are full with T.V dinners and quick microwave meals for the eternally hurried.
They actually build houses and apartments in Amsterdam now without putting kitchens in.
My new downstairs neighbour just moved into her newly renovated apartment. and she just has a whopping big build in microwave in the middle of the hallway, a fridge and a small
sink so the kitchen area could be converted into something more 'useful'. I despair sometimes !.
I'm old school... I make my own stock, and turn those into real
soups and sauces. I still use 'fresh' ingredients !.
I sometimes had to work with people who didn't even know
how to make a basic roux,They immediately went for the cardboard box on the shelves.
But for you, my dear Moon I will gladly make a one-time comeback. Order anything you like and I'll cook it for you.
With care, love and consideration, believe me, you will taste
the difference !.

I left home when I was 15. Had to learn pretty quick. Part time jobs don't pay for TV Dinners very long and you have to learn how to use things like onions and stoves. I've recently switched to vegetarian and learned all over again how to cook without slapping a piece of dead animal on the grill.

I love to cook and have some very original dishes. My wife is a fantastic baker but leaves the cooking to me.

Oh, yes I do! I love to cook dishes which could never be found in cook books ha-ha! But I swear they are equally delicious! (wish you guys could try some). I just like thawing my mind on edible substances and experimental dishes with balanced nutrients on them. There's always this fun over trials and errors where I learn to do better next time.

I can make anything in the kitchen. I make Italian food the best, but I do a mean Thai, and Tex-Mex with "everything, including the kitchen sink" enchiladas.

I used to say "thank you" after all my answers, and got too many thumbs down. I think people thought I was being smarty.

Yes, I can and right now, I have a fresh pan of Ravioli with tomatoe and basil sauce in the oven along with freshly baked garlic biscuits to be served along side a spring mix salad with mandarin oranges.

Wanna join us?
