Are you a troll? Or just stupid? On Yahoo it's hard for me to tell sometimes...
But just incase you are the latter- you're using uncyclopedia as a source, which is a PARODY of Wikipedia.... Why are you quoting that?
[EDIT] To people giving me a thumbs down, did you even look at the site? Let's look at some more "facts" from that page:
-There are 800 trillion blacks in the world
-4 of them live in Canada
-Their oficial religion is Voodoo
-etc
And while there aren't many black people in anime, there aren't many black people in Japan either. But there are a few. Heck, Samuel Jackson voiced the lead role in Afro Samurai- a black man. I guess they broke the law when they made that one, huh?
[/EDIT]
[SECOND EDIT] I was looking for some statistics on the Japanese population and I finally found them. 98.5% of Japan's population has a Japanese decent, and most of the remaining 1.5% are from other Asian decent. (https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ja.html#People ) That means that only about 1 in every 1000 people in Japan is black- and most of these live in the major cities. A Japanese person living in a rural village may not even know a single black person. Off the top of my head I can think of about 30 black anime characters. That's not too shabby considering it is representing .1% of a population [/EDIT]

Actually, there are black people in some animes.
Example :
FFVII
Bob from Tenjho Tenge
Pedro from Excel Saga
There are many animes with africans & westerns races characters.
Its not a crime. Just from the animes & the characters with different races, we could know that the japanese just want to be friendly & to have good relationships with other races & countries. I also have some japanese friends & they all are really friendly. So, PEACE to all people in the whole world ^^ Have a great day !

Um... Are you positive? something called "uncyclopedia" doesn't sound very promising...
Bleach, one of the most popular animes/mangas out there, has two important characters who happen to be black. Yoruichi, who becomes important when Ichigo goes to the Spirit World, and Kaname, a captain (the captains are the most powerful soul reapers). I've seen more black people in anime before, too.

what? nooo... there are black people in anime. For example, there's Buccha from Air Gear, Yoruichi from Bleach, Bob from Tenjou Tenge...
and uncyclopedia is NOT a good source to reference to.

Just looking at your source makes me NOT take your question seriously.
Besides, I've seen a lot of dark-skinned characters in anime and they're just as cool as the fair-skinned ones.

90% of what you read on the internet is total BS. Honestly, think about what you read BEFORE you take it as fact.
