Vaclav Klaus of the Czech Republic appears to be an honest, straightforward politician who doesn't rely on opinion polls to voice his opinion.

Earlier this year, he voiced disbelief for the theory of man-made global warming. Can you imagine a politician in the U.S. having the guts to state his beliefs regarding the prize jewel of the new Liberal religion?

He ran on a platform that was low on promises, and high on candor. He just told people what was necessary for the Czech Republic to grow economically, and have a healthy society. This was in direct contrast to the bombastic antics of his ultra Liberal (Commie, in this case) opponent who promised the earth and sky.

Luckily, substance won out over style.
