Cubed means you multiply a number by itself three times. So if you have 3 cubed then that is the same as saying 3x3x3 which is equal to 27. Squared means a number multiplied by itself twice. So if you have 3 squared that is the same as 3x3 which is equal to nine.

Squared means to the power of two. For example, if it was 2^2, or two power two, it would be 4, because 2*2 = 4. Another way this can be said is "two squared".
Cubed means to the power of three. For example, if it was 2^3, or two power three, it would be 8 because 2*2*2 = 8.
Another way this can be said is "two cubed".
A good way to remember the difference between the two is to remember that a cube is 3-D. 3? Get it? :)

We do this in school all the time. Cubed is an answer that you got by multiplying something 3 times as in 3x3x3=27 so something to the power (exponent) of 3.Squared means multiplying something it's self by its self twice as in 4x4x4=64 so like one number to the power (exponents) of 2.YOU get it feel free to email me if you don't understand@ melodydavis_99@yahoo.com. Hope this helps

A number cubed (raised to the power of three) means the number multiplied by itself, then by itself again.
ex: 2^3 = (2)(2)(2) = 8
Squared is just the number multiplied by itself.
ex: 3^2 =(3)(3) = 9

cubed is the number you get when another number is used in a multiplication 3 times. e.g 4x4x4=64 = cubed number.
Squar is when you multiply a number by itself. e.g 1x1=1 or 5x5=25 so 5 squared is 25.
Thinks thats right anyway!

Cubed means it is multiplied by itself 3 times, squared it is multiplied by itself 2 times. i.e. 3 cubed is 27 (3x3x3). 3 squared is 9 (3x3)

Isn't Squared like a number multiply by itself one time
e.g. number = y , so square y = y * y
So cubed is a number multiply by itself twice
e.g. number = y , so cubed y = y * y * y
