I never do....but i only do it on Christmas Eve on the way home from work.....Can't explain it, it just gets me....It's the saddest thing especially around the Christmas Holidays when you see someone that's so less fortunate than you are, no one to go home to, no presents, no family, no holiday dinner....I live in nyc, and see them in the subways on the trains.
Otherwise, that's really what the shelters are for, they don't have to be there if they don't want to....there is always a better alternative....you have to want to help your self....Self respect is a tough thing for some people if they have gone thru hard times..

yeah....I can't help it. I know many times I'm taking a chance that the person just wants booze or drugs and really not hunger, but It's a chance I'm willing to take. I lose nothing but maybe a few dollars from it. So when I think about it, it's not that much of a loss.

We can help them up to some extend and not completly. Government should come up with some new schemes or need to review the existing scheme.
