Ok, I have a tank with 4 mollies. They have been treated for ick for the last 4-5 days. Now today my black mollies eyes are totally freaky! They stick out (kind of pointy looking) and are whitish. She seems like she can still see, but I don't know. HELP ME!
I think it may be either the ick or a fungal infection? Am I right? Wrong? I am going to Wal-Mart later today and I can pick up some medicine if I know what it is!!!
Please help my poor <>

This disease is known as Pop Eye in fish.
\\\\\\\\\\\\you need antibiotic/ antibacterial drops to treat the water with. Sounds like the treatment you have been using is not the correct one.
Mollies are particulrly susceptable to diseases if conditions not kept ideal.
Best bet is to go to aquarium shop with a sample of your water and the drops you have been using and get water checked and advice about best treatment. If caught early POP eye can be sorted out.

The swollen eyes(popeye) is a good sign of a bacteria infection. Possible internal Bacteria. Here in the U.K we can buy a brand call INTERPET and i would use number 9 of this range. I dont know what is available where you are but if you get stuck just read the boxes in the shop. Failing that, then i would treat them with regular anti bacteria drops. Just go by the dosage on the box.

Forget melafix
I actually just treated one of my mollies, it had popeye but then actually became dropsy, but i catched it in time, and he is swimming around happily
Get yourself maracyn TC from the petstore and treat for 10 days as directed, you will notice that it gets worse before it gets better
Also put some aquarium salt into your tank, like around 1 tablespoon to 2 gallons
Also don't forget to take out the carbond cartridge
i don't know what kind you will get, but mine was in little bags which was a powder of it, and my tank turned also a reddish color after about 4 days or so, but don't worry that's absolutely normal
Hope that helps
Good luck

its called Popeye I'm in the UK but you can buy a medication for the water and if you do frequent water changes as well that can help, pop eye is caused by a bacterial infection,so check the levels in your tank and adjust the water quality

Call a pet dept or a vet and ask them. Maybe a Petsmart or something like that. I don't think it takes fish long to die if they are sick so maybe you should hurry. Good luck.

it is called popeye. im not kidding either. it is a bacterial infection. it can be caused by amonia in cleaners, or in waste of other fish, or animals. i would call a petstore and ask for help now because it can be fatal.

call around to local pet stores, NOT WALMART, and tell them what is happening.
did you buy your fish from walmart??
you should also have a freshwater master test kit handy.

I have no idea, but please don't go to walmart. They are cruel and mean to fish.
