It was horrible.
She was obviously lip syncing and poorly at that. Her costume was one size too small on the bottom and 2 sizes too small at the top. If you look at the pics from her performance, you can see where her stomach and hips are overlapping her "panties". She jiggled everywhere when she made any sort of decisive movement which was few and far between. I'm really surprised her thighs weren't trying to ooze out of the fishnets. I actually don't thing she's fat but she's definately not thin enough to pull off that outfit. That was a very poor costume decision. She should have spent more time rehearsing and less time partying with P.Diddy.
Britney needs a manager and a couple of handlers otherwise she's going to run off someday and get a tribal tattoo on her face.

I thought that it was joke! That was supposed to be her comeback performance? She wasn't even moving her lips and attempting to make it look like she was trying. Like Sarah Silverman said, she's already accomplished all that she will every accomplish in her lifetime.
The sad and pathetic thing is that she's like 25 and she is still acting like this. She has two little boys that are going to one day see that along with everything else that she's done. I hope by then she's turned her life around and can offer some guidance and morality to her children.
I wont hold my breath though.

When 50 Cent is appalled by something, it's got to be pretty bad. I also swear I saw Rihanna laughing with one of her gal pals. People clapped but I noticed Chris Brown had this look on his face, like he was doing it to be polite. I wasn't expecting it to be that horrendous...but I caught it on my computer, not live. Afterwards, other celebs made comments to reporters...like Common, Akon, and Steve O - all negative, of course. Brit was normal person fit during her "comeback," not popstar fit. I agree with whoever said she's on something...looks like prescription drug abuse to me. Her dance moves were sluggish; much of the time she just walked and stumbled around the stage. Her dancers outdanced her. Her hair was an absolute mess. It sucks because she had a chance of getting her career back, albeit small, and now there's virtually none. JT, one of the top winners of the night, must've been laughing his *** off, thinking, "Thank god I got out of that relationship when I did."
I'll always like her old stuff, but I'm not expecting to like her new crap. I also think lip synching, whether doing it right or being totally off, is hella wrong, especially if people are paying to see your show. I know she's been doing it for awhile, but she was soooo off last night. There were times when she flat stopped singing.
Timbaland had said he'd work with her awhile ago. Instead, his protege, Nate "Danja" Hills, produced some stuff, including "Gimme More." Timbaland actually called the song flat and plain, despite the fact that someone he molded for three years worked on it. So her career is basically gonna go nowhere but down. She had the opportunity to change her game and she failed.
At least she knows she sucked. Supposedly, she cried backstage after. I felt a little embarassed for her. I mean, a lot. Take the Ashlee Simpson "hoedown" and multiply it by one thousand. That's how embarassing this was. And so many huge stars saw it!!!
I think she should go back to Louisiana with her kids and stay there for at least a year. And lose 15-20 pounds.
P.S. - off topic, but kudos to JT for saying MTV needs to air music vids like they used to! I watched some clips of the show on MTV. Is it something I wanted to watch on TV, start to finish? Nah.

Well yeah it was horrendous. Like some of the celebrity viewers said "It was like Britney wasn't all there.". She was slow and looked bored. The dance steps weren't flashy on her part and considering she lip synced it is obvious she isn't too excited for a comeback. I don't know what is wrong with Britney but yeah I agree. Her performance was unexpected for sure, it was slow and boring.

Either she was on something or she fried too many of her brain cells the night before. You could tell she wasn't even singing. She danced pathetically (even I can't dance worth a darn and I could do way better than that!) and she seemed like she only did it because she was forced. She didn't even bother to try to make a comeback. I'd be embarrassed if I were her.

I felt awkward even watching her. I feel bad for her. I think she should have taken more time off before trying to make a comeback.

Probably the worst performance I've ever seen. Everything about it was brutal. If there was ever any doubt about her career being over, there isn't anymore.
