The way I remember is that a degree is like an hour, an arcminute is like a minute, and an arcsecond is like a second. So an arc second is one 60th of an arcminute.
And an arcminute is one 60th of a degree.
The problem comes when you see the little symbols - an arcminute is 1', an arcsecond is 1" (they look like the feet and inches symbols).

There are 360 degrees in a circle.

If you divide one degree into 60 sections these are called arc minutes. If you divide one arc minute into 60 sections these are called arc seconds.
