My sister and I used to watch Dark Shadows from the time it aired in the 1960s. We also watched As The World Turns. Later on we enjoyed All My Children, Secret Storm, Santa Barbara, and One Life To Live (remember when Victoria had two personalities) when they first aired.

I am not a senior citizen, but I am a 2nd generation watcher of Young and the Restless. I have been watching the show all my life. The fatherest back I can really remember was when Cricket was a teenager and Nina had just come into the picture when her baby got stolen. I miss Danny & Lauren performing together. They had a lot of teen actors then, now they are all college students. There are not really many teens on the show anymore. I wish Danny would come back to Geneo city and do a concert.
When in college, I would schedule my classes around the show so that I could be home for lunch during that time.

I'm still a boomer & I used to watch soaps even when I was very young. My mom always watched Search For Tomorrow & Guiding Light, so I got hooked on those. Remember when they were each on for just 15 minutes? Later, I got hooked on these daytime soaps:
All My Children
The Doctors
Another World
Days of Our Lives
Of course, there was the night time soap.....Peyton Place.

OMG!!! Yes/ I quit work when I was about 3 months pregnant. Didnt have to work, anyway. So......I got hooked on General Hospital and One Life to Live. They were the best for me. I watched them for about3 or 4 years straight, Then I got bored and went and got a part time job, so I lost interest in them. Yes, I remember Vicki with her 2 personalities. She was married to Joe Riley, remember??? That was a great soap.

I grew up with Corrie, but I would have loved to have seen Dark Shadows, that was the Collins Family with Barnabas the vamp wasn't it? I read a whole heap of the paperbacks about them.

No, not when I was a teen. I started watching Days of our lives 15 years ago for several years until it got into devil possession and weird stuff. I don't watch any now.

When I was in High School the only one we watched was General Hospital as it came on during lunch hour--we would all go to one house and watch.
