I know this is morally wrong and I will never do it again..so here it goes.
I stole some money from my cash drawer at work in order to help pay my rent and my tuition at school by conducting fraudulant transactions on my checkstand..totally over $400. It was out of desperation for I was facing the real possibility of livving on the streets.. Over a month later a rep from loss prevention confronted my in the boos's office and asked me questions..and presented me with evidence and logs of those transactions. I could not help it but admit my guilt, telling him everything over how i did it what i used the money for. I told him i'm am sorry and i am ready to face the consequences for my actions. I also agreed to pay back all the money I stole. I am currently suspended with pay. My question is: How likely is it I will lose my job and 2. If i am terminated, how difficult will it be to get another job and what can I do.

If you get fired, say that you were self employed during this period of time as a . That way, there will not be a gap on your resume.
I would start looking if it were me.

We all go through hard times.
But things like this only make it harder.
It looked like easy money true...but look what it cost you.
Good job on fessing up, that must have been hard.
Bad news: you will lose your job. It sounds like a corprate job, an they have no compassion.
So here are some options:
Go to a temp agency and have them help you look
Get a service job
go to work nights at a telemarketing firm
cut back drasticlly on spending.
see if you can get a low rate student loan for the time being
NEVER STEAL AGAIN!!!
Hope this helps!

You are suspended WITH PAY????. Sounds like they are seriously considering giving you a second chance. They are fully within their rights to fire you and/or press charges. I agree that if you are let go, leave this job off of your resume and you may even want to look into a different career altogether. It's the electronic age and that makes most industry circles smaller than in the past. Hope it all works out for you. You don't sound like you had malice in your heart. Maybe next time you will look for another option.

Oh, boy! Well, being suspended with pay after admitting guilt is a good sign. You still have your job. They could have fired you right then and there. My guess is you are safe, employment-wise.
If you do lose your job, chances of finding another position with any requirement for trust difficult.
Should you ever be confronted with this dilemma again, a better path would be to go to your boss, explain your situation, and ask for a loan.
Best of luck to you. I hope this all works out to the highest good.

Hard to say how likely you are to lose the job. I mean yeah the advantage is in your favor in that you are suspended WITH pay. I mean if they were thinking of firing you they would have said WITHOUT pay. Now if you are terminated DON'T claim self-employed on your resume. NEVER LIE on your resume like that. Beyond being technically illegal(no company is likely to ever prosecute but it is perjury in the least) it is grounds of dismal. Leaving the job off your resume would be a better idea, and it isn't lying about your job history.

It is very likely you will lose your job. Depending on where you look for work ...for instance if it is handling cash you may not get that kind of job depending on the future employers standards. Good luck.

They didn't take legal action so that's in your favor. I'd forget about using this place as a reference. I'd leave it off your resume altogether honestly.
