I oppose the war, and I'm beginning to wonder why I ever loved America. When you are a child, you don't question that we live in a 'free' country. Now, I'm starting to wonder if America was ever really free for anyone but the upper class.

Yes, and you should not agree with the way this "War on terror" has been mishandled.
As an American you should support the US Armed Forces, that does not mean you have to support inept civilian leadership without question or dissent.
This does not mean you hate your country, it just proves that you care.
Voting, regardless of who you vote for is an obligation that far too many Americans bypass. Voting shows that you care.
It appears that a few Republicans nowadays, even some who answered your question, do hate America. They hate that others opinions differ from theirs and throw around words like"traitor". That is HATE.

I'm a Republican and dislike the war. I feel it was wrongly entered into, badly handled once we got there and and has cost too much in lives and resources. In spite of what I have just said, I am a proud American.
I am dissenting against the war and I feel that it it necessary to do so because the Iraq war is madness and to follow my leaders blindly while they fight to stay longer would be even more madness. I feel Afghanistan was the appropriate front to fight. We should have pressed harder after Tora Bora and kept Bin Laden from escaping through the Khyber pass instead of toppling a dictator whom the President had a grudge against.
So does your dislike for the war make you un-American. No. Americans voice their opinions and speak truth to power especially when power is wrong. Anyone who tells you different is not worth your trouble.

vote Ron Paul if you want to be a true American
"War, and the threat of war, are big government's best friend," he wrote only recently. "Liberals support big government social programs, and conservatives support big government war policies, thus satisfying two major special interest groups. And when push comes to shove, the two groups cooperate and support big government across the board — always at the expense of personal liberty. Both sides pay lip service to freedom, but neither stands against the welfare-warfare state and its promises of unlimited entitlements and endless war."
No voice for peace has been as consistent in the demand that government stop its intervention across the board. No supporter of free markets has been so determined to apply the logic of liberty to all aspects of foreign policy.

Sounds to me like you're just scairt gary and looking for answers.
If you don't want to support our troops that's up to you, but if I knew you personnaly, I wouldn't have anything to do with you after finding that out.
There are probably some that actually do "Love the War on Terror ", as you put it. You have those 10 percenters too, just like all the sickos that believe the government was in on 9/11, or that our troops have killed hundreds of thousands of innocent civillians.

Sure... but I think it's sad if any American does not support our troops.. They risk their lives to protect us.. and we should support them regardless if we agree with the "War on Terror", the War in Iraq, or any other war- Our soldiers are fighting for us.. and we should support them regardless of our thoughts on the war...I disagree with the war in Iraq, but firmly support our Soldiers

Sure, you can love America and oppose the War on Terror. It's how you do it that proves whether you love this country.
Do you blame America, call Bush Hitler all the time, call Bush a war criminal, call for withdrawing from Iraq and not even contemplate the negative consequences? If so, I would say that is definitely not loving America.
