The world simply cannot live in harmony and peace as we are passing through the Kali Yuga phase of life (the darkened age) when the clock rings 4 a.m. in the morning... the darkest hour of the night! During the times of Lord Krishna... the situation was exactly the same! Adharma (lawlessness) all over... Dharma (righteousness) had to be re-established!

Then Lord Krishna came into the scene and re-established Dharma! Now people await the coming of Bhagwan Kalki... an Avatar of the present era (God manifest in human form)! In the cosmic system everything moves full circle. If we have day... we also have night! We have fire... we also have water! We have God... we also have Satan!

Presently we are passing through a phase in the cosmic life cycle when humanity faces its lowest ebb. Such are the times that everyone needs to cater for self. The thin fabric of relationships destroyed... trust amongst individuals is on the decline! None can change the situation... not even man gods like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed!

Bhagwan Kalki who shall have the combined power of a man god and Chanakya shall succeed in this endeavor to re-establish Dharma and usher the present into the golden era... the golden period! The dawn of the new era shall occur when clock rings 6 a.m.! Between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. lay the darkest hour of the night!

In this darkest hour... the period between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. world shall witness world war 3... A fight to the finish between Christianity and Islamic Dharma... a full scale nuclear war that affects every single individual existing on Mother Earth! Such would be man-made calamity that 1200 million people perish in world war 3.

Beyond 2014 is expected the era of permanent peace and harmony. Around 2012 is expected the worst phase in the history of mankind... the expected world war 3! Life would never be the same again after 2012! No matter what... how many prayers... the world war 3 can get delayed but not permanently stopped!

Both Christianity and Islamic Dharma are fundamentalist by nature! With none to guide... no practicing of patience, persistence, perseverance and forgiveness... the world gives in to the awaited world war 3! Such would be the fury of world war 3 that heavy melting of ice caps would result in increasing of sea level by about 10 to 12 feet!

About thousand feet high waves would become common! With no respite in sight... mankind faces almost annihilation at the hands of few fundamentalist forces! In the domain of God there are no free lunches. All is the result of mass karma performed by the community. Whatever be the future... it is all our doing! Mankind has played for long with nature!

The time for nature to react has come. The fury of nature would be with vengeance! Both the sinner and the innocent would be routed. Nature demands sacrifice from the innocent... only then peace and harmony would prevail in the year 2014! 2012 is the year of Bhagwan Kalki. Mayan calendar also speaks of massive destruction around 2012! More on Kali Yuga - http://www.godrealized.com/kaliyuga.html

Well, i wish it wasn't. I'm srry to say but i don't think we ever will. If you look back in history you can tell we keep making the same mistakes!!!! Will we ever learn. If we do then there's a possibility that yes we could. But think of a world with no pollution, cusses, fist flying, war, mean words, and want. That's what you're asking. But awnser this have you ever wanted something or to borrow something and the other person said no. So when they asked you something you said the same thing or tried to revenge? Or did a decision that someone else made for you made you angry so you cussed at them. I have. we would all want to have Harmony and peace but we'd give up all of that. Holding you're feelings or putting into a different perspective is hard. I can't do it even though i want to. We can try but someone won't and that will cause us to fail. So no.

Anyone who thinks that world peace is a possibility is SO naive.

Do you see what sick, power-hungry people in the world there are? There are too many causes for war. Land ownership, racism, culture, immigrants, politics, general disagreement. In order to all live in harmony, we would have to all agree on the same thing. In order for that to happen, we would have to take away freedom of speech. Taking away that right would cause an entire fraction to put their foot down on its own. My philosophy is that we can't have both freedom of speech and world peace. Frankly, I'd rather have freedom of speech. I hate following another's opinion. War is just war, and from a certain viewpoint, we need it to keep our number from growing too large.

So, in conclusion, harmony and peace is way too much to ask for. Sorry.

Yup, I would think so, considering all the different backgrounds, nationalities and things of that nature. The world is also under the rule of many people which can sometimes create conflict. Another reason is with the different religions we have here. Sometimes our different beliefs lead to major conflicts. Also, I don't think we can manage to make 100 percent of the 6 billion people we have, to be peaceful.

Alas, human nature is fallen and flawed. We seek our own, and we are unable to live in harmony with others. That is how we are and that is how we always will be. It is innate. Why not ask why tigers keep on eating innocent antelopes... Same principle.

Talk about magical thinking. Hate to burst your wishful thinking bubble, but there will never be peace, ever. The moment you tell someone what to do, you will have violence. Attempts at "gun control" by so-called "pacifists" is one good example.

THERE ARE ALWAYS THOSE WILLING TO STEP ALL OVER THE REST OF US TO GET WHAT THEY WANT. AS LONG AS THIS CONTINUES THERE WILL BE NO PEACE OR HARMONY. IN OTHER WORDS DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH.

Yes, it is! Human nature being what it is, there will always be violence, hatred, greed and injustice (whatever that means). Some people hate me without knowing me just for my religion. Others for my race and more for my nationality. Remember that "utopia" means nowhere!
