Well if it is something you have longed for then surelyy you would cope by being very happy...

You need to define the question better really for a more accurate answer from everyone

Embrace it. Do not shy away from it. Take it on the chin.
But enough of the metaphors.

If you have longed for it then it should not be a surprise.
It is a bit like boxing you know the punch is coming, no point in blocking it, but you can ride it or absorb it and then it is gone.

When I found out, after 12 years of wanting something - that I could finally have it, I cried and cried and cried then giggled like a drunken teenager, then cried some more. It was the best feeling ever.
