That is perfectly normal. I did not show or gain any weight yet and I am 24 weeks pregnant. Everyone keeps asking when will I show I tell them at 27-29 weeks. Any way something you can do is take a tape measure soft sewing type and measure from your belly button to just above your uterus. It should measure about 18 inches it can be 2 inches more or less. I will say my is only a little bump that you can only see for the people that know. As long as your doctor say you are ok don't let others tell you there is something wrong. It can also take longer if this your first child. It should be firm at the uterus and yes when you look in the mirror flatten your tummy you can notice. Good Luck!

Don't freak out...I'm 5'7'' and I was a liiittle overweight when I got pregnant. I was 165 pounds, I should be between 118 and 159 lbs, so I was overweight at the moment and my body in general was a little chunky...not FAT, but it just had a little more cleavage than normal...and my belly by nature was a little bigger than normal, not flat, not only because my overweight but also because my dad's side of the family seem to all be pregnant, they all have like a little bump LOL and I had that too...my belly wasn't flat, I had some fat, so at week 13...14 weeks maybe my pants wouldn't fit so well in the belly part anymore. At 16 weeks, just now I had to get new pants (maternity pants) because my belly isn't TOTALLY showing but it's a little bigger. I'm really worried about my boobs because I can see stretch marks all over already :(
Yeah, so don't worry about not showing yet, it depends on your body, on the pregnancy, etc...don't worry. Ask your doctor if you're very concerned, so they can do an ultrasound and make sure your baby is growing just fine :)
GOOD LUCK!

Lol don't stress it sweety! I'm 22 weeks pregnant, have not gained a single pound! I asked my doc is this normal and he said some women don't show or even gain weight! He said he only cares about the babys weight and health. Turns out my baby is big, healthy and fine! (Thank God). Then again I am obese to begin with even before I got pregnant so I don't know if that's why I didn't gain weight.

Isn't it AMAZING how when your pregnant suddenly every member of your family, every stranger you meet on the street and every woman with a uterus suddenly becomes an obstetrician and think they can put the letters MD behind their name. Try not to let them worry you. Trust the advice of your doctor. The one who actually went to medical school.

This is probably your first pregnancy, its like that for many women. I didn't start to show until I was 18 weeks. Believe me you will begin to show, you will probably begin to grow quickly. With your second child I suspect you will show much sooner.

By the way, you'll probably want to purchase some ear plugs now because pretty soon they will start telling you horror stories about being in labor for 3 days, how painful it is, etc..... Just tune them out and focus on having a happy, healthy pregnancy and baby! Best wishes!!!!

If your Dr. is not concerned, you shouldn't be either. Don't let your family worry you. Every pregnancy is different and they say you show later with the first than the ones after. Ask your Dr., but if they don't try to adjust your diet or something, don't worry. Tell your family to stop stressing you out, it is not healthy for you or your pregnancy.

good luck and I'm sure everything will be fine. You are lucky. I am 18 weeks and gained and grew early. I also quit smoking though, so I think that added to it. : )

Every body is different. You may not show until your a little futher along. Depending on your height as well. If you are TALL then you may not show for a little longer.
Don't listen to negative talk....some people think that every pregnancy should be like the norm or like theirs. You are unique and as long as the Dr is telling you all is well...then you are fine and baby is fine.
To ease your mind....I have a friend who didn't get very big at all and in fact since she still had her periods, she didn't know she was pregnant until 8 months along. Baby was fine.
Breath and relax. Blessings all around.

Don't let this bother you!!! Everyone is different, I never started showing until I was 8 months pregnant. I had no bump what-so-ever!!! One morning you'll wake up and say WHERE THE HELL DID THAT COME FROM!! Trust me!! Just be happy about it for now, once you see it--you'll want it gone. It gets so hard to sleep or do anything. :)

38 weeks pregnant.

Your belly depends on how much room you have in there and how strong your belly muscles are.
I didn't start showing until 16 weeks or so, and I could just about suck up my belly a full nine months. If I stood tall and held my belly in (for a couple of seconds) you couldn't tell I was pregnant.
