Baloney. No one of consequence in any of Canada, US, or Mexico is seriously proposing such a thing, and none of the governments would agree to it if someone did. I don't know how this silly canard got started, but it has gotten quite out of hand. The one worthwhile thing in the entire notion is the idea of a new highway from Canada through the Midwest to Mexico; anything that would cut transportation costs would be beneficial to everyone.

This mythical NAU is the latest in a long string of paranoid theories to consume americans' faulty imaginations. It does not exist. A symbol on the NC driver's license has no meaning, and no policital ramifications.
