How does he sleep the rest of the time?

My daughter did not sleep through the night until she was 16 or 17 months old, and she still fusses once or twice and she is 25 months old.

Some kids are sleepers, some are not. Sorry.

The suggestion about warm bath and massage is a good one, it might help (didn't for me though).

As with all things you go through as a mother, know that this too shall pass.

My son had a terrible problem being flat on his tummy or back, so the doctor told us to lock him in his car seat and place the car seat in the crib. My son was much more comfortable in this position (sitting back rather than laying flat) that he actually slept. The doctor wanted the car seat in the crib so that my son was used to being in the crib for the day when he wouldn't need the car set any more.
You might also want to call your doctor about the spazzy arm and leg thing just to be sure nothing serious is wrong.

You know it's a horrible habit and yet you continue it? Put that baby in his own bed! Give him a bath then his bottle at night with a baby spoon or two full of rice cereal. Put him in his OWN BED. You will have to spend a few nights listening to him cry, but he WILL get used to it and simmer down! You will HAVE to not go in there, just let him cry himself to sleep. A few bad nights will be worth him sleeping right the rest of his life!!!

If you are breastfeeding..modify you diet-cut out caffine, nicotene, beans, chocolate, broccoli, cauliflour and dairy. If that doesnt work in a week take out eggs and wheat also.

If he is on formula try nutrogeamen or alimentum.

Colic is caused by food intolerences and is easily fixed.

Plus if he is eating any baby food...take him off it for a couple weeks and see if it helps. When you introduce start with fruit..its the easiest to digest.

try giving him a warm bath and then massaging his body, like his legs and arms and talk soothingly through the massage. good luck!

He's teething. Give him some tylenol next time, and some orajel.
