Reborn Ashton Drake dolls means that is originally an Ashtron Drake doll that someone has reborned- a process that involves stripping off the original paint, basically tearing the doll apart limb from limb, if it has painted on hair that has the hairline etched into the head, the head is also sanded down. After the doll has been totally disassembled and the paint has been stripped off, the doll is completely repainted and reblushed, sometimes the hair is rooted in or sometimes they use a wig, the doll usually ends up with a different body, usually ends up with different eyes, and it is dressed in real baby clothes instead of clothing for dolls- and they sell for a small fortune sometimes.

I have 8 of these dolls- my MIL used to reborn dolls. She made 6 of my dolls, I bought one, and through careful teaching from MIL, I made one. The Ashton Drake ones are usually the ones that sell for higher prices- those Ashton Drake dolls cost a lot!

I hope this helps. Oh, and the difference between collectible dolls and reborn dolls- in my opinion- the collectible dolls are factory made, the reborn dolls are a lot more special in my opinion because it takes a long process to make those and if you find the right artist, you can get one of those made as a portrait doll like to look like one of your kids when they were babies.

I'm not 100% sure but that "reborn" thing is when they take an old doll and change it's appearance somehow and make it into a new doll. I think it's kinda creepy when they make them into goth dolls.
