They are on my leg.
I've tried salycilic acid (the compound W stuff), the OTC wart freezer, duct tape, and raw potatoes. The duct tape, salycilc acid patches and potatoes won't work for me because I'm allergic to bandaid adhesive.
I have six warts. At $60 per wart, I can't afford to go to the dermatologist. Warts are always considered cosmetic and insurance won't cover their removal. I used to work for a dermatologist and saw plenty of painful, unpleasant warts that I would have paid for if I was an insurance company.

I don't know what black salve is, but 45 years ago an old lady down the street from where I used to live told me to get clear nail polish. Wash hands well, rinse, then pat dry. Rubbing spreads the warts. Apply clear nail polish so that it completely covers the warts and about a quarter inch more all around it. Wear it for about 4 hours. Then peel it off slowly. Then repeat the process of washing, rinsing, application. Do this every day until the warts are gone. Then a couple of days more. Warts are a virus, like colds. If a virus cannot breathe it dies. In 45 years the warts have never come back. Be sure also, when you do this that you don't put your hands on any other part of your body. Since warts 'are' a virus, they may show up someplace else unless you wash your hands very well each time.

Have you used black salve to remove warts? Did it work?

You don't want to put anything that's not good for the skin on them. The remover that all of us health consultants know that works is Oregano oil. You can buy it at the health food store. Put a drop on the wart 2-3 times a day, with gloves on or wash your hands very good, it can burn your eyes. You can put a little vasoline under the wart so that the oregano oil doesn't run down the leg and burn skin. And, if you take Oregano oil in capsule form also, it works faster and prevents more.

I used muratic acid ( the kind you use for swimming pools ) and be can be bought in any retail store and pour it right in to the wart. It sure does burn but went away within a week.

Why don't you just use that over the counter wart freezer medicine "Compound W" or see a dermatologist so they can burn them off with other medication or a laser???
