What exactly is 'raw' emotion?

Usually any application of passion is considered "raw" emotion. Which basically is nothing more then the application of love(feelings) on an object of some kind. A good example is coming home and finding your wife of 10 years with your brother. The love (feelings) you feel for her at that point, would be considered, lol, quite raw.... or in a physical altercation were someones bad mouthin you god name, just in any situation were a person can be considered what the EQ's call "emotionally hyjacked"....
