I previously had an EP where the + was a VERY faint line. I just found out I'm 3 weeks pregnant, and the line was bolder even before my missed period. Could this mean that it's not an ectopic pregnancy this time around????

I just know that the faint line means there is a lower level of the hormone detected. This can happen with normal pregnancies as well as ectopic. It is unlikely you have another ectopic pregnancy. Keep a positive attitude and get in to check with the doctor.

The pregnancy test companies & doctors say that if you see any result, even a faint one, you are pregnant. That's because the thing that makes the pregnany test "positive" is the presence of the pregnancy hormone, which is never present any other time. But that does not mean you will not have an ectopic or miscarriage, sorry. My ectopic had super faint results because my hormone numbers were low. But don't panic...give it a couple more days (easier said than done, I know!) and try again first thing in the morning.

It is best to go to your doctor to find out. It generally does take longer for an etopic pregnancy to show up on a home test, though.

The test detects your hormone levels. I don't think the location of the pregnancy has anything to do with it, your body will still produce hcg in increasing amounts.

Theres that chance. The only person who can determine that is a doctor. Get checked
