I thought I lost one a few days ago, I felt around and didn't feel anything. I noticed I was still bleeding days after my period so I looked again and I found it. It had been there for about four days, it's out now, but is there anything I should do now? Like, could I have an infection or should I be okay?

I do know what TSS is, but I haven't had any of the symptoms.

If you smell okay and you don't have any weird discharge, you're probably okay. If you had an infection or TSS, you'd know it. Particularly with TSS, I think you'd be violently ill.

Also, lost tampons happen to a lot of women so don't let anyone here make you feel ashamed.

FOUR DAYS? aaaahhh go see a doctor right now! you can have a really bad infection. some people get it after 12 hours...four days is a lot of time. you should've gotten it removed. especially if you have a fever or something right now that could be a sign of TSS.

You should go to the MD because you have developed a infection. This could lead to PID which could make you sterile or even kill you. You quite lucky you didn't develop toxic shock syndrome. Now that the tampon has been removed that is unlikely but still possible. If you will not go to the MD, be on the look out for foul discharge and Oder, fever, and pain.

You might have an infection.

Does your vagina smell or itch? If it does or starts, or you get a fever and have severe cramps (signs of TSS) you should go to a doctor, if not the ER.

NEXT TIME YOU BYE A BOX OF TAMPONS READ THE BOX OR THE LITTLE PIECE OF PAPER THATS INSIDE AND IT WILL TELL YOU ALL ABOUT TSS. HOPR YOUR OK,BUT I WOULD GO TO THE DR JUST TO BE SAFE,CUZ LEAVING A TAMPON IN THAT LONG IS DANGEROUS.

THE TAMPON WAS LOST IN YOUR VAGINA?? Havn't you heard of TSS. Well it stands for Toxic Shock Syndrom. It happens from the use of tampons when they are left in for too long. I think You should go to the doctor. Although, I am not saying that you have TSS.

You should at least call your doctor, there is a good chance you do have bacterial vaginosis, and you risk Toxic Shock. Be careful, and ask sooner next time. Good L uck!
