It's the period of a simple pendulum. Isn't it in your textbook? That would be the place your research should start.

It is a formula for period of mathematical pendulum.

For physicists meaning of the formula is understanding how the value on the left side varies when you vary some value on the right side.

As you can see, the longer the pendulum, the longer the period. Period is proportional to squareroot of length, so when length increases 4 times period would increase only twice.

You also can discuss that period would be longer on the Moon:) where g is 6 times less. In that case the smaller g the larger T and dependence is inversely proportional to square root, so if g decreases 4 times period would increase twice.

the guy making this declare pronounced that the towers experience at 'resistance-unfastened velocity'. yet in case you're taking a glance at pictures and video clips of the cave in, you will see debris from the tower falling speedier than the tower itself (or, from the area interior the tower it grow to be ejected from). This shows that the towers did no longer cave in 'resistance-unfastened'. If the author of the e book has made the form of person-friendly blunders as above (and a few thing fairly ordinary to study), then something of his paintings must be acknowledged as the two unfavourable. So sarah b: You claimed that purely 'individuals' have confidence the respected tale approximately 9/11... sorry, that's no longer actual. i'm Canadian, and on an identical time as i do no longer help all the strikes of Bush and enterprise, i'm no longer silly adequate to have confidence 9/11 grow to be an interior job. besides, you will locate peer reviewed articles related to the cave in of the WTC a million&2 via authors in countries different than the U.S.
