What happened to you?? I mean when did you first realize something was wrong? Did you have contractions at first or were there other symptoms? Did they stop your labor effectivly for a period of time?

Just curious to know other peoples stories.

i went into preterm labor at 33 weeks..I was gonna go to sleep but i started having intense braxton hicks at around 820pm...i got up n started timing it and it was happening every 2 minutes and the contractions was becoming a bit painful and crampy. So I went to the hospital and was monitored. I had to stay there for 2 nights for them to continue to monitor my contractions because the shots they gave me didn't stop my contractions. I was also given steroid shots for the baby's lungs development incase i give birth early. Since the shots didn't work, they had to put me on magnesium sulfate (muscle relaxer) to stop the contractions. That one worked but it made me drowsy and sleepy 24hrs. It sucks, i was hungry and they didn't let me eat anything but jello because they think i was gonna go into active labor. I was 2 CM dilated and 60% effaced. Got sent home after being there for 2 nights.

One week later, I went in for preterm labor again at 34 weeks. They didn't give me anything to stop the contractions this time. I just stayed overnight and was monitored again. The contractions started spacing out overnight but I was dilated to 4CM and still 60% effaced. My dilation wasn't progressing fast enough so they send me home and put me on bedrest. The DR want me to keep the baby in me til 36 weeks at least. If I go into preterm labor again...they're definately gonna just let me have the baby.

If you had pre-time period hard work then on the such a lot medical professionals can quit it for one million-two days. Not greater than that. Since it has already been per week, I am very specific you're going to have complete time period little one. This time I had it at 24 weeks then 29 weeks and I was once in hard work and supply over night time. Even acquired steriods however see right here I am 37 weeks. In my final being pregnant I had preterm hard work at 19 weeks and I misplaced my twins in simply 14 hours. Nothing labored. Congratulations and Good Luck Hon !

Well, I was in full term, but my doctor told the nurse on the phone that I was not full term and that I was having braxton hicks and ordered the labor to be stopped. It was totally against my will. The next day I went into labor again and refused to leave the hospital until I gave birth. because of the trauma, my baby was born Meconium and blue. He almost died because of that doctor and where was he? He left his wife the day before and left to Washington state with his mistress. I wanted to sue, but he was good. He had everything erased as if I had never been to the hospital. My husband passed away, so he couldn't vouch for the situation. My son is mentally retarded due to a lack of oxygen at birth. I hope that man burns in hell.

My son was born by emergency c-section at 29 weeks due to placental abruption. I had been slowly leaking fluid for most of the day while at work and I thought I just had to pee a lot. I also had back pain. I had been in a car wreck back in 1993 that damaged my lower back so I thought it was just acting up, but turned out I had back labor since early morning, like around 5am. I had no bleeding until I actually clocked out of work for the day at 4pm and by the time my husband got me to the hospital I was fully dilated. My son just turned 3 on Aug 10th and is completely healthy with no delays.

Also, unfortunately due to the rough birth of my son it damaged my cervix and my husband and I lost a baby girl at 21 weeks last year the day after our son's 2nd birthday.

Hi at 32 weeks in my first pregnancy all was perfect until i went to the bathroom - had a wee tmi!! stood up and my hind waters had broke. I rushed to hospital and they gave me injections to help the babys lungs develop and drugs to stop me from having contractions. I then carried full term but thank god i rushed to the hospital - as impatient as i am about pregnancy etc i wouldnt want a poorly baby in nicu for months on end. (That was 5yrs ago) I am now pregnant with our second baby and because of problems i have to have a c section in 3weeks and honestly i dont think i'l last another 3weeks. Hope this helps x
