Good answers so far!

I believe there is such a thing as "right 'n wrong"...God Himself has written his laws on our hearts from the beginning...We have turned from living lives of conviction & service by succumbing to our fallen self serving nature. Which in turn, creates a "protect my darling sin" & "I'll protect yours attitude"!

But, there are some serious consequences to this way of living...And the reward is not what we think it will be, very limited when self serving is our motivation.

I've learned through the years, that being truthful even when it is contrary to popular opinion, is still the best way to go. We were created in the image of God, He is holy, pure & just...therefore we do ourselves & our fellow man a good service by helping one another lift the blinders to see the light of truth, which ultimately sets ones soul free...

There is great reward in helping a nother person become free...

I say, STAND UP for what IS RIGHT! It's never the wrong thing to do.

I think its because the majority of people are for whats wrong because its more "fun and entertaining" so for someone to stand up for whats right, they know they are going to have to put up with allot of other peoples b.s. and these days most people have a very "mind your own business" type of attitude, if it doesnt involve them, they stay out of it. Its ridiculous. It takes a strong person to stand up for whats right.

The "postmodern" approach, which permeates our culture, is to deal with questions of right and wrong from the standpoint of ambivalence--there is no universal "right" or "wrong" that is the same for everybody. Therefore to stand up for what is "right" from your perspective fails to take into account innumerable other perspectives, that may consider it "wrong." The result is, most of us are hesitant to take a stand on anything, and at the same time deeply defensive when the values we hold are challenged, because we don't feel we can truly justify them.

I believe people are content in their little bubble of the world. You wanna see people stand up for what is right? Take away their iPhones and iPods, their SUVs and laptops, their Starbuck's and Blackberries, their holey jeans and reality shows, their XBox and celebrity news....

i type this because i myself have pondered this very subject recently. after careful thought ,it must be due to the fact that when people stand up for what is right, they tend to be judged by so many people as being so wrong! Right?

We are taught to not judge, and that to judge is the greatest sin of all. We are also taught that there is no such thing as absolute right and wrong, it is all relative...
It's all good...right?

We are scared to say something because we think we will somehow get in trouble but if we really think about it is better to say what is right then be silent about!
