A good old "Sing-a long" to me was many many years ago.
My grandmother played the piano; the family was there.
We sang all the old music hall songs: "After the Ball was Over, Shine on Harvest Moon. Oh Oh Antonio, Who Were You With Last Night" etc.
Then we ended up doing the "Conga" around the sea front. We gathered some strangers who came back for a drink. I was 11 and remember coming downstairs the next morning to find my grandmother cooking a full English breakfast for everyone. Strangers in various states of undress on the floor, on the stairs; it didn't matter. She cooked for all....and the "Sing-a long" started again. Albeit slightly muted and fuzzy!
Those were the days.

A couple of weeks ago. My kids love High school Musical 2.
They watched it 10 times and I caught myself singing the song .

Bless you Mr Frewster,I thought that term had gone with the advent of pool tables and karaoke,last time I remember was in the 70"s when I myself used to play in pubs,clubs and bingo halls,etc.The social atmosphere in pubs now,I"m afraid,seems to have been taken over by talk of work or football,if you know anywhere in Sth East I can relax and join in in a singalong thats not in Irdu or some other tongue I dont speak,or even where I could go to relax nowadays to enjoy without fear of a "kickoff"perhaps we could meet up and enjoy a pt together.

Last night, we had a BBQ then came in to sing songs and play cards, the last song we sang: weird al-ebay song :)

This afternoon when I picked my nephew up from nursery, they were in the middle singing Old MacDonald's Farm and you had to do the actions too, good fun it was.

Fun night in June........my daughter's college graduation party. We had an Italian Jazz Duo perform and 50 of us sang the night away! Favorite song of the night........That's Amore!

Yesterday when my gran hit me round the face for disagreeing with her, i jumped straight onto this computer, this website, put Lily Allen on full and began having a sing a long to myself to Alfie...altogether now-

Probably yesterday and today when I was singing songs like "where da hood at", "up in here", and "x gon' give it to ya" just for humorous purposes.
