Dylan is an artist. I see your point, but he had a longer life to influence people. Elvis was a pioneer, but Dylan has also influenced a multitude of people.

Obviously there was because Elvis not only didn't write Hound Dog, he was not even the first person to record it. Elvis was more influential to the masses, but Dylan was a much more influential songwriter. Dylan started the movement of getting young people to question and challenge the U.S. Government and the Vietnam War through his lyrics in the very early '60's. His commercial sucess opened the door for other songwriters to do the same and push the envelope further. Dylan started the counterculture revolution while Elvis was filming such garbage as "Clambake".

he's not extra beneficial then Elvis Presley, yet some human beings might like him extra efficient then Elvis. As a musician all Bob Dylan is a human beings songwriter who's a superb author, yet Elvis substitute into the King Of Rock N Roll, he substitute into the unique as they might say so no Bob Dylan isn't large then Elvis Presley. So desire that responded your question.

Maybe it has something to do with Dylan writing his own stuff and Elvis didn't - one was a poet/musician for a time of great social changes, and the other a performer ---- which doesn't diminish the impact Elvis had - he is the "people's choice" because of those performing skills !!!!!!
I'd say the 90s saw another song writer/performer up to Dylan standards ----- Tracy Chapman ----"Mountains o' things"

Move on fella. Music has. The Beatles were artists from the ground up, writing their own songs. Elvis was first, that's all. He didn't write, made bad movies, became rather a clown, and has dated.
Your argument about Dylan is a good one. Dylan wrote songs like no one, but doesn't ever clear his throat or pick his nose or anything before he records and sound like a broken mechanical frog.
But music moves on. All three mentioned above are like God's compared to the commercial stuff out today.

You've got a lot of watching, reading and listening to do. You might be surprised on who influenced who in that time. Then again, at the end of the day, we all know what makes us feel good. Apparently, Elvis gives you a hard on and Dylan doesn't. Really got a problem with it then write the editors at the magazine. Your opinion is just as biased as theirs.

Hmmm 2 major musical revolutionaries who had a gigantic impact on everyone who heard them and all music that came after them.
You may as well compare Nelson Mandela and Ghandi for greatness, or Jesus and Mohammed. Stupid question
